Integrated M.Sc.

The School of Biology, offers a 5-year integrated M.Sc. course in Biology. The student enters the course at post secondary school level and earns a Masters degree after successful completion of the course including exposure to research in biology. The course curriculum has been developed as an amalgamation of both basic and applied sciences. A student enrolled into the integrated M.Sc. Biology course at NISER will be studying all the subjects as applicable to modern biology with an interdisciplinary prospective. Also the students are expected to undertake project work as an active component of their academic curriculum. Moreover, eminent Professors of leading universities of the country and abroad are teaching Biology at NISER. In order to accomplish the set objectives students at NISER are screened through a national level entrance examination and those selected represent best of the brains and are tenacious to pursue a career in active scientific research in the field of biology. At present, the school has all essential instruments and laboratory facilities to carry out routine laboratory experiments.
